In person (Bangor) and online
Over the last few months we have had some seriously good Curious Conversations about [how to get] into and out of the cabinet.
Now we are wanting to make some things to help carry on the conversation at our month long ‘exhibition’ at Storiel, Bangor Sept - Oct (and online).
At this collaboratory, we want to try to see if we can create some ‘scores’ or invitations or prompts as postcards (or equivalent) that people can use to join in the conversation. it’ll be a relaxed, fun, creative session of talking and making… who knows where it will lead! [You can also come and make ‘scores’ for other things, not necessarily the curious conversation if you wish!]
You can see some examples of Utopias Bach Scores here
Please RSVP, letting us know whether you would like to join on zoom or in person (accessible venue - Bangor University)
To get you in the mood, here is a ‘score’ by yoko ono:
IN ROOM DIRECTIONS
Bangor University Main Arts Building, College Road, Bangor LL57 2DG
We will bring images, text and materials to play with.
Please bring your own if you have something you want to work with.
There will be tea/coffee etc
Access via the sliding doors to the Main Arts Building facing the big car park on College Road (roughly where it says ‘Bangor University Library’ on the map below).
As the sliding doors require assistance for access, please arrive between 10:45 and 10:55, so we can gather in the entrance hall and then proceed together to the room upstairs. If earlier/later or you need more directions, please call Sarah Pogoda on 07519 249048.
As the university is officially closed, the barriers for the car park are down, however there is plenty of parking available on the road - All areas in red on the map show parking options.
Note: Lift access to the room is not wide enough for a mobility scooter. Please call Sarah if any questions about this (number above).
ON ZOOM
Please have to hand some things to make Postcard/slightly less than A5 sized cards. Text/images.
You can do this on the computer, or make them physically.
